Haneda Airport to Hotel Edoya: Hamamatsucho or Shinagawa
Take the Tokyo Monorail from Haneda Airport to Hamamatsucho, then the JR Yamanote Line towards Tokyo and Ueno to Okachimachi. The hotel’s directions give an 11-minute walk from the south exit. Keikyu to Shinagawa, followed by the same JR line, is another option.
- Take the Tokyo Monorail from Haneda Airport to Hamamatsucho
- Change to the JR Yamanote Line towards Tokyo and Ueno; get off at Okachimachi
- Walk from the south exit to Hotel Edoya
Check which terminal your flight uses
Haneda has three terminals. Do not assume that every international flight arrives at Terminal 3: check the terminal shown by your airline. Tokyo Monorail has a station for each terminal. Keikyu uses Haneda Airport Terminal 1·2 Station and Haneda Airport Terminal 3 Station.
After arriving, follow the signs for Tokyo Monorail or the Keikyu Line. The route to the gates depends on your terminal. The airport’s train and monorail guide helps you find the correct entrance before you start moving with your luggage.
One change at Hamamatsucho, then Okachimachi
- At the airport monorail station, take a service towards Hamamatsucho. Check current services in the Tokyo Monorail guide.
- At Hamamatsucho, follow the signs to JR lines and choose the Yamanote Line towards Tokyo and Ueno.
- Get off at Okachimachi. Keep this station name handy; it is written 御徒町 in Japanese.
This is also the route given in Hotel Edoya’s official Haneda access directions. Allow separately for the transfer at Hamamatsucho and the walk from Okachimachi. The monorail’s journey time alone does not cover the whole trip to the hotel.
These directions use the Yamanote Line for a clear, consistent JR connection. If you choose another line running alongside it, check the train type and confirm that it stops at Okachimachi.
The walk from Okachimachi’s south exit
The hotel gives an 11-minute walk from the south exit as a guide. Head towards Matsuzakaya, cross Chuo-dori and continue towards Shoheibashi-dori. Turn south, then turn uphill at the Mikumi-zaka-shita intersection. Hotel Edoya is on the right before the top of the hill. Allow extra time for traffic lights, luggage and your own walking pace.
The address is 3-20-3 Yushima, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo. Open the hotel map before leaving the station. Use the station signs or ask staff to locate exits and lifts. If you need a route without stairs, the most suitable exit may differ from the south-exit walking directions.
A light bag
The walk can be a straightforward final leg. Check the map and official hotel directions, including the uphill approach, before you leave the station.
Heavy luggage or limited walking
You can combine the train with a taxi for the final stretch. Check where to board at the station and show the driver the hotel name and address. Vehicle capacity and availability depend on the service and your luggage.
The alternative: Keikyu via Shinagawa
Take a Keikyu service towards Shinagawa, change there to the JR Yamanote Line towards Tokyo and Ueno, and get off at Okachimachi. Keikyu services have different destinations, so check whether your train reaches Shinagawa directly or requires a change.
Both options connect with JR: the monorail at Hamamatsucho and Keikyu at Shinagawa. Choose according to your terminal, the next departure, service conditions and any ticket you already hold. Use Keikyu’s airport fare and route search to check the current options. Both routes in this guide finish with the same walk from Okachimachi.
Late arrivals: check both trains
For a late flight, check the last airport service and the onward JR connection at Hamamatsucho or Shinagawa. Use your actual travel date and allow for immigration, baggage collection and reaching the platform. Consult Keikyu’s late-night and early-morning guide or Tokyo Monorail’s timetable.
If trains have finished, ask the airport information desk about available buses or taxis. Late-night buses serve specific destinations, so check how you would reach the hotel after getting off. Contact the hotel on +81-3-3833-8751 if you expect to arrive late.
For an early flight home, check the complete route in reverse: reaching the station, the first JR train, the airport connection and the route from the airport station to your terminal. Plan around the airport-arrival time required by your airline. If trains cannot get you there in time, arrange another means of transport, such as a taxi, in advance.
Timetables, fares and service arrangements can change. Check the linked operators for your travel date. Walking times are the hotel’s published estimates, not timed walks by the producer.
