Narita Airport to Hotel Edoya: via Keisei-Ueno
Take the Keisei Skyliner from Narita Airport to Keisei-Ueno, then walk or take a taxi to Hotel Edoya. The hotel’s airport-access guidance allows 20 to 25 minutes for the walk. With heavy luggage, a taxi covers the final uphill stretch.

Start with your arrival terminal
Terminal 1 uses Narita Airport Terminal 1 Station. Terminals 2 and 3 use Narita Airport Terminal 2·3 Station. Follow the airport signs for the railway and Keisei Line. The airport’s railway guide shows the stations and terminal connections.
If you arrive at Terminal 3, continue to the station at Terminal 2 using the connecting walkway or the free terminal shuttle bus. Allow time for immigration, baggage collection and this transfer before choosing a train. Your scheduled landing time is not the time you will reach the platform. The airport provides a Terminal 3 connection guide with the walking and shuttle routes.
Stay on the Skyliner to Keisei-Ueno
The Skyliner is a Keisei Electric Railway service linking Narita Airport with Nippori and Keisei-Ueno. For this route, remain on board at Nippori and get off at Keisei-Ueno. Keisei-Ueno and JR Ueno are separate stations, so use the full station name when checking your map.
You need both the base fare and a Skyliner reserved-seat ticket. Having an IC travel card does not, by itself, give you a reserved seat. Check the departure, destination and seat when you buy. From Keisei-Ueno to the hotel
Hotel Edoya is at 3-20-3 Yushima, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo. The hotel’s airport-access guidance gives a walk of 20 to 25 minutes from Keisei-Ueno. Traffic lights, your walking pace and luggage can change this. The final approach includes a hill.
Travelling light
Open the hotel map before leaving the station and follow the route towards Yushima and Mikumi-zaka. The walk can suit a light bag and fair weather. Consider the uphill finish as well as the distance.
Large cases, rain or a tired arrival
A taxi from Keisei-Ueno to the hotel avoids pulling a case uphill. Show the driver the hotel map, or the Japanese address: ホテル江戸屋、東京都文京区湯島3-20-3. Journey time and fare depend on traffic and the service used.

When another route makes sense
Compare fares: Keisei Main Line
Keisei Main Line services, including limited express trains, offer another way to reach Keisei-Ueno. They differ from the Skyliner in route, stops and ticket requirements. Compare the current fare and journey time. Check that your train goes towards Ueno, and whether a change is needed; not every Keisei service from the airport has the same destination.
A stop at Tokyo Station: Narita Express
Take the JR Narita Express to Tokyo, then change to the JR Yamanote Line towards Ueno and get off at Okachimachi. This adds a transfer and a walk through Tokyo Station, so it may suit a planned stop there. The airport’s railway guide lists the route. If you already hold a rail pass or ticket, check its coverage and seat-reservation rules with the issuer or a JR ticket office.
The hotel’s directions give an 11-minute walk from Okachimachi’s south exit. Compare the complete route, including station transfers and the final walk, rather than only the airport train.
Late arrivals and your return to Narita
For a late flight, check the last train for your actual travel date on the operator’s timetable. Allow for the time needed to reach the station after landing. If your route involves another train, check that connection too. Delays and arrival formalities can make a planned departure impossible.
If trains have finished, ask the airport information desk about buses or taxis operating at that time. Check where a bus stops and how you would complete the journey from there; do not assume a direct bus to Hotel Edoya. For a long taxi journey, confirm the fare arrangement and payment method before leaving.
For the return, work backwards from the airport-arrival time advised by your airline. Allow separately for reaching Keisei-Ueno, your reserved train’s departure and the walk from the airport station to your terminal. Terminal 3 passengers still need to travel from Terminal 2·3 Station to Terminal 3.
